Ohio Governor Mike DeWine announces County Fairs will be Junior Fair Events Only

Ohio Governor Mike DeWine issued this statement Tuesday Afternoon:

"I’ve made the difficult decision to limit all fairs to junior fair events only (livestock competitions and other 4-H and FFA competitions for kids and teens) starting on or after Friday, July 31. Harness racing can proceed with no spectators, but we are prohibiting rides, games, and grandstand events going forward so that we can keep the crowds down."

From the Auglaize County Fair:

"We understand the Governor has set some new mandates regarding fair. Please be patient as we too just learned the news and are working together to figure out the best resolution for an amazing Jr Fair. Please stay positive! We will keep everyone up to date when we have more information. Thank you!"
