On 03/18/2026 the Mercer County Dog Warden brought us a little dog he picked up as a stray who needed medical treatment. She is missing half of her nose and a good portion of her hair. We don't know what happened to her but she's in rough shape. The vet said something could have bitten her nose off. As for her skin, he said it almost looks like someone poured a chemical on her or she had a severe reaction to fleas that created this. We will probably never know what happened but she is safe now.

Dr. Roth named her Edna : ) I don't think we've ever had an Edna before and that makes her even more special. She is a Poodle mix and estimated to be four years old. She has a merle coloring and weighs 22 lbs. Edna is good with other dogs and very sweet. She is now spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and on heartworm/flea prevention.
