Several barns destroyed by wind fueled fire north of Ansonia Thursday

3 barns were destroyed by fire Thursday afternoon in the 4100 block of White Coppess road north of Ansonia in Darke County. Radio traffic indicates the fire was first reported at approximately 3:15 pm. Mutual aid from many fire departments assisted. Crews were called from fire departments in Darke, Mercer and Shelby Counties. Flames and smoke were visible for miles. The cause and damage estimate are being investigated at this time. There were no reported injuries.
