Celina man charged in child sexual abuse material case
CELINA — An 18-year-old Celina man is facing a felony charge following an investigation involving child sexual abuse material allegedly uploaded to an online storage account.
Daniel David Robinson was arrested Thursday by the Celina Police Department and booked into the Mercer County Jail.
A criminal complaint filed Friday charges Robinson with one count of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor or impaired person, a second-degree felony. The alleged offense occurred between March 6 and Oct. 21.
According to an affidavit filed in Mercer County Common Pleas Court, the investigation began after Dropbox reported three uploaded videos to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Information connected to the account and internet address was later forwarded to the Ohio Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and local authorities.
A Celina police detective wrote that investigators linked the account to Robinson. The affidavit alleges Robinson admitted downloading multiple files containing child sexual abuse material and transferring them to Dropbox.
Robinson is being held under a $250,000 bond with a 10-percent provision. His next court appearance is scheduled for Nov. 2 at 1 p.m. in Mercer County Common Pleas Court.
The charge is an allegation. Robinson is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
