Delphos man arrested after drugs and cash found during search

A Delphos man was taken into custody on a felony drug charge following the execution of a search warrant Tuesday.

According to the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force searched a residence in the 500 block of South Cass Street as part of a long-term investigation.

Authorities said approximately 70 grams of suspected cocaine, psilocybin mushrooms and more than $1,200 in cash were found inside the home.

Thirty-eight-year-old Phillip Cross was booked into the Van Wert County jail on a first-degree felony charge of possession of drugs.

Authorities said the investigation remains ongoing and additional charges are expected. Cross is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
