Kings Island temporarily closes two roller coasters following Georgia fatality

Kings Island has temporarily closed two roller coasters following a fatal incident at Six Flags Over Georgia.

A male passenger died Monday following an incident involving the Goliath roller coaster. Four other injuries were reported, but authorities have not released additional information about the circumstances or the conditions of those injured.

The victim’s name has not been released.

Kings Island says Diamondback and Orion were temporarily closed out of an abundance of caution. Similar roller coasters were also closed at several other amusement parks across North America.

Authorities in Georgia continue to investigate the fatal incident.
