43-Year-Old Man Indicted on Fleeing and Eluding Charge in Auglaize County
An Auglaize County grand jury has indicted a 43-year-old man on a felony charge following an alleged September 23 incident.
David D. Swarey is charged with fourth-degree felony fleeing and eluding.
The indictment alleges Swarey operated a motor vehicle and willfully attempted to elude or flee from a police officer after receiving a visible or audible signal to stop.
Prosecutors requested that a warrant be issued following the indictment. Court documents listed Swarey at the Auglaize County Jail when the request was filed.
A fourth-degree felony in Ohio carries a potential prison sentence of six to 18 months.
