Fort Recovery Council Approves Waterline Contractor and Sidewalk Lighting

Fort Recovery Village Council approved a contractor for an upcoming waterline project and agreed to purchase new lighting for a sidewalk near the school during its latest meeting.

Village Administrator Aaron Rengers said council selected Milestone Construction for the waterline project. The company submitted a bid of approximately $127,000, which was below the engineer’s estimate.

Council also received an update on the Systemic Safety Trails project along Sharpsburg Road. Work near the school is nearly complete, although crews are still waiting for grass to be planted.

As part of the project, council agreed to purchase 16 lights that will be installed along the sidewalk extending down State Route 49.

Rengers also reported that the village’s Center Street overlay project has been completed.

In other business, council approved a resolution authorizing Rengers to sign an amended contract with P&G Consulting for the village water plant. A second resolution amended the village’s 2026 appropriations.

Fort Recovery Village Council’s next meeting is scheduled for October 5 at 7:30 p.m.
