Coldwater Woman Sentenced to at Least 4 Years and 9 Months in Drug Case

A 55-year-old Coldwater woman has been sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to drug trafficking and possession charges in Mercer County Common Pleas Court.

Cristina J. Gann was sentenced to a minimum of four years and nine months and a maximum of five years and nine months in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction.

Gann previously pleaded guilty to one third-degree felony count of aggravated trafficking in drugs, one second-degree felony count of aggravated trafficking in drugs and one second-degree felony count of aggravated possession of drugs.

Judge Matthew K. Fox imposed consecutive sentences of nine months, two years and two years on the three counts.

The case followed the execution of a search warrant at Gann’s Third Avenue residence in Coldwater on June 4. According to a court affidavit, investigators found three bags containing suspected methamphetamine in a locked room. The bags had a combined gross weight of approximately 32 grams.

Gann received credit for 99 days already served in jail. Following her release, she will be subject to mandatory post-release control for at least 18 months and up to three years.

Two additional counts were dismissed. Gann was remanded to the custody of the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office to await transportation to prison.
