Joint Township District Memorial Hospital Awarded More Than $231,000 for Recovery Support

Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys is set to receive more than $231,000 to expand support for Mercer County families affected by substance use disorder.

The OneOhio Recovery Foundation awarded $231,672 to Mercer County Joint Township Community Hospital for its Mercer County Wellness Support for Recovery project.

The project will add counselors and therapists to help the loved ones of people with substance use disorder. It will also provide families with resources to support a loved one’s recovery.

The hospital’s award is part of $1.5 million approved for nine projects across OneOhio Region 15, which includes Allen, Auglaize, Champaign, Darke, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Preble and Shelby counties.

Other projects will expand recovery housing, legal assistance, peer support, harm-reduction services and programs for people returning home following incarceration.

The money comes from opioid settlement funds distributed through the OneOhio Recovery Foundation. The awards remain contingent upon the completion of grant agreements.
