Patricia “Pat” A. Shiley, age 87 formerly of New Knoxville, Ohio and a resident of St. Marys, Ohio, died at 7:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 6, 2026 at her residence. She was born on July 2, 1939 in Arcadia, Ohio. She was the daughter of Clyde and Marilyn (Conine) Binger. On February 26, 1957, she married David Shiley who passed away on June 6, 2013. She is survived by her daughters Beth (James) Teeters of New Knoxville and Jill Shiley of Edmeston, New York, her son in law Larry Waugh of Wellston, Ohio, six grandchildren, one step-grandchild, and seven great grandchildren; her sister Sally (Jim) Hitchings of Findlay, Ohio and her half-sister Bonnie Trask of Findlay. Along with her husband, Pat was preceded in death by her daughter Debra Waugh, two grandchildren, a step-granddaughter a great-grandson, her brother Larry Binger and a special friend Al Vordermark.
Pat was a member of the New Knoxville United Methodist Church where she sang for a number of years with the church choir. She also volunteered as an adult leader with the U.M. Youth Fellowship and was a member of the U.M. Women’s Society. She retired after a number of years from Brookside Laboratories in New Knoxville. Pat had a true love for golf and cherished the many days she spent on the course with David. She enjoyed the sunshine, the beauty of each new course, and the challenge that came with every round. More than the game itself, she treasured the time they spent together, traveling to different courses, enjoying the outdoors, and making memories along the way.
