Mercer County Engineer Plans Huwer Road Closure for Bridge Replacement

The Mercer County Engineer’s Office is planning to close a portion of Huwer Road in Marion Township for a bridge replacement project.

Mercer County Engineer Jim Wiechart says Huwer Road will be closed between Cassella Montezuma Road and Reichert Road.

The closure is tentatively scheduled to begin Tuesday, September 8.

The road is expected to remain closed for approximately four to six weeks, depending on weather conditions and the progress of the project.

Motorists who regularly travel through the area should plan to use an alternate route while the bridge work is underway.
