Mercer Health Medical Student Scholarship Applications Open September 1

Applications for the 2026 Mercer Health Medical Student Scholarship will be accepted from September 1 through October 1, 2026. The Mercer Health Medical Staff Scholarship Committee will award $2,000 to a medical student who has demonstrated a strong connection to Mercer Health or the surrounding communities. The scholarship is awarded for a one-year period and provided directly to the student.

Eligible applicants may apply during any year of medical school, and previous recipients are welcome to reapply.

To qualify, applicants must:

• Be a U.S. resident currently enrolled as a 1st-, 2nd-, 3rd-, or 4th-year medical student at an accredited MD or DO program in the United States.
• Either be a resident of Mercer County or one of its adjacent counties for at least 12 months prior to beginning medical school, or have completed a rotation at Mercer Health.

The Mercer Health Medical Student Scholarship Program was established in 2020 by the Medical Staff of Mercer Health to support medical students with ties to the region and to Mercer Health through financial assistance.
