New Bremen will be making corrections to some street signs around the village as preparations continue for Enhanced 911.

Village Manager Brent Richter reported on the upcoming changes during this week’s Village Council meeting.

Mayor Bob Parker said the work is intended to bring local street identification into compliance with requirements connected to the updated emergency response system.

Village officials say the corrections will help make locations easier to identify when emergency responders are dispatched to 911 calls.

The street sign changes are expected as the Enhanced 911 system moves closer to implementation.
