A portion of Frysinger Road in Mercer County will close beginning Monday, August 31, for road improvements.

Mercer County Engineer Jim Wiechart says Frysinger Road will be closed between U.S. 33 and Shelley Road for approximately two weeks.

The closure is necessary for road grade improvements and resurfacing.

Drivers who regularly travel through the area should plan to use an alternate route while the work is underway.
