St. Marys Woman Indicted on Seven Charges Including Theft, Forgery and Identity Fraud

A 52-year-old St. Marys woman has been indicted by an Auglaize County grand jury on seven charges involving alleged theft, forgery and identity fraud.

Kimberly Lynn Slaven is charged with four counts of theft, two counts of forgery and one count of identity fraud. The indictment was filed August 11 in Auglaize County Common Pleas Court.

According to the indictment, the alleged offenses occurred during November 2025.

Two of the theft charges are fifth-degree felonies. Prosecutors allege Slaven knowingly obtained or exerted control over property or services beyond the scope of the owner’s consent during periods between November 2 and November 15.

Slaven also faces two fourth-degree felony theft charges involving an elderly victim. The indictment alleges the value of the property or services involved in each of those counts was at least $1,000 but less than $7,500.

The two forgery counts are fifth-degree felonies. Prosecutors allege Slaven forged another person’s writing without authorization on or about November 2 and November 15.

The most serious charge is a third-degree felony count of identity fraud. Prosecutors allege Slaven used, obtained or possessed another person’s identifying information without consent on November 15, with the alleged victim described as an elderly person. The indictment states the value involved was at least $1,000 but less than $7,500.

The grand jury returned the indictment as a true bill. Court paperwork does not yet list a plea on the indictment.

The charges are allegations, and Slaven is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
