Minster Board of Education Overview – August 10, 2026
The Minster Board of Education met for its monthly meeting Monday evening.
The Board accepted the following donations:
Superintendent Josh Meyer shared an enrollment and employment update with the Board.
Mrs. Mandy Albers shared the elementary report. She updated the Board on the continued use of “YET Cards” in the elementary school, student recognitions planned for the upcoming school year and the Minster Milestones classroom incentive program.
Albers also updated the Board on state-required math diagnostic testing.
Jr./Sr. High School Principal Austin Kaylor shared the Jr./Sr. High School update. His report included information on students attending Tri Star, UVCC, Work Study and off-site CCP classes.
Treasurer Gina Selby provided the Board with her monthly report.
Selby shared fund transfers and advances with the Board, provided an update on income tax collections for July and presented the district’s five-year financial forecast.
Her report also included fund summaries and a budget performance update.

The Board set September 21 at 7 p.m. in the Large Group Room as the time for its next monthly meeting.
The Board approved the following personnel recommendations:
The Board of Education entered into executive session to discuss the employment and compensation of a public employee, details related to the district’s security arrangements and emergency response protocols, and the purchase or sale of property.
No action was taken following the executive session.
