Two Greenville women were injured Friday morning in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Route 36 East in Darke County.
The Darke County Sheriff’s Office says deputies, Gettysburg Fire, Gettysburg Rescue and CareFlight were dispatched to the 8100 block of U.S. 36 East at approximately 11:35 a.m.
A preliminary investigation found that a 2013 Nissan Murano driven by 62-year-old Teresa Meredith of Greenville was traveling east and attempting to turn into the Flower Barrel.
Deputies say Meredith turned in front of a westbound 2014 Lincoln driven by 67-year-old Carmen Watt of Greenville. The vehicles collided head-on, and the Lincoln then traveled off the right side of the roadway before coming to rest in a construction site.
Watt was transported by Gettysburg Rescue to Upper Valley Medical Center with minor injuries.
Meredith was flown by CareFlight to Miami Valley Hospital. Her condition was not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
