Celina Woman Sentenced To Prison For Community Control Violations

According to Mercer County Common Pleas Court, a 41-year-old Celina woman has been sentenced to prison after admitting to community control violations.

Angela K. Stammen was sentenced Wednesday to 17 months in prison with 345 days credit for two violations filed in February. Court records state Stammen tested positive for methamphetamine on January 31st while at Andrew’s House at the House of Hope in Elida, and left the facility on February 2nd after being instructed to stay.

Stammen admitted to the violations in court on June 25th.

She had previously been sentenced in August of 2025 to three years of community control sanctions, including six months at the WORTH Center in Lima, after an earlier probation violation involving leaving treatment early.

At the time, Stammen was serving community control on one count of assault, a fourth-degree felony. That case stemmed from a February 2025 incident involving Mercer County Sheriff’s deputies.

According to a court affidavit, deputies were dispatched to look for a vehicle connected to an assault reported in Auglaize County. During a traffic stop, Stammen allegedly became agitated, tried to leave, struggled with deputies, and kicked deputies while they attempted to place her in a cruiser.

Stammen is being held at the Mercer County Adult Detention Facility pending transfer to an Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction facility.
