Ohio BMV self service kiosks top one million transactions

Ohio BMV self service kiosks top one million transactions

COLUMBUS - The Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles says its self service kiosks have now surpassed one million transactions, marking a major milestone in efforts to improve customer convenience and reduce wait times across the state.

Ohio BMV Registrar Charlie Norman said the milestone shows drivers are embracing faster and simpler service options.

The kiosks are located at select deputy registrar agencies and participating retail locations. According to the BMV, most kiosk transactions take less than two minutes and allow customers to print vehicle registration and license plate stickers on the spot.

State officials say the kiosk program is part of a broader push to expand BMV customer service options. In addition to kiosk access, many services are also available through Ohio BMV Online Services.

Those services include printing license plate stickers, transferring a title online, finding additional driver exam locations, and taking the driving knowledge test online.

The BMV says the goal is to continue making services quicker and easier for Ohio drivers.
