Project Safe Return Prayer Vigil Planned in St. Marys for Military Troops and Families

A community prayer vigil is being planned later this month in St. Marys to support military troops, their families, and world peace.

Project Safe Return will be held Sunday, April 26th at 6:30 PM at Cross Oak Camp and Retreat Center, located at 272 Jack Oak Point Road in St. Marys. The event is being sponsored by St. Marys VFW Post 9289 and St. Marys American Legion Post 323.

According to the flyer, the vigil will include praise music by ReviveOHIO, with prayer led by Pastor Mark Burd and other area community pastors. Families are also encouraged to bring a photo of their loved one for a “Wall of Loved Ones.”

Organizers say the prayer vigil is intended to bring area communities together in support of local military families and troops through prayer.
