Kiwanis Club of Wapakoneta launches April sports equipment drive

The Kiwanis Club of Wapakoneta is bringing back its Play It Forward campaign for a second year, collecting donations of new and gently used youth sporting equipment throughout the month of April.

According to the club, the donated items will be distributed during Bicycle Safety Day on May 9 at the TSC garage on Willipie Street. Families and interested community members will be able to look through the collected equipment and take what they need.

Any items left after that event will also be made available during community garage sale day on Saturday, June 6, with the location to be announced.

Donations can be dropped off during April at Community Markets, the YMCA, Wapakoneta Athletic Club, FIT, McDonald’s, and both Superior Federal Credit Union locations.
