RE: Senior Discount For Refuse Rates

ST. MARYS – The City of St. Marys Utility Office is now accepting applications for the new senior discount (65 and older) for city collected refuse. The senior discount only applies to customers who reside within the city limits. The new rates for city collected refuse are expected to go into effect on May 1. In order to be eligible for the senior discount by May 1, customers need to apply with the utility department by April 24. Any customers that apply after the 24th day of a month will have to wait for their discount to be applied until the next month. In order to be eligible, customers must provide proof of age.

The City Utility Office is open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. The office is closed from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. each day for lunch. For more information, call 419-300-3142.
