Celina Mercer Chamber Highlights Alzheimer’s Event, Booster Fundraiser, Easter Activities and Summer 5K Series

The Celina Mercer County Chamber of Commerce is sharing a lineup of upcoming community events, including an Alzheimer’s support gathering, local fundraisers, Easter activities and the return of the Mercer Health 5K Challenge.

One of the first events coming up is Brainstorm and Brews, hosted by the Alzheimer’s Association. The event will be held Thursday, March 26, at Shandy’s Grill and Bar in Celina from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Organizers say attendees can enjoy pizza and brews while taking part in a discussion focused on supporting loved ones dealing with Alzheimer’s. The Celina Athletic Boosters are also preparing for their fourth annual Fun Night on Saturday, March 28, from 6 to 11 p.m. at Romer’s. The event will include raffles, entertainment, drinks, snacks and an evening of support for Bulldog athletics. More information is available by emailing celinaboosterclub@gmail.com.

Earlier that same day, Celina Manor will host an Easter Bunny Breakfast from 8:30 to 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 28. The event will include breakfast, Easter crafts and a photo opportunity with the Easter Bunny.

Families can then head to downtown Celina for the annual Celina Easter Egg Hunt hosted by Wabash Telephone. The hunt will take place on the courthouse lawn and is set to begin at 11 a.m. sharp. Organizers say children will have a chance to collect eggs, with some containing treats and prizes.

Looking ahead to summer, the Mercer Health 5K Challenge has announced its race schedule, with the summer running series beginning in June. Participants who pre-register for all races by June 20 can save on the bundle. More information and registration details are available at mercerhealth5kchallenge.com. The first race is scheduled for Saturday, June 20.

Also on the calendar, the Celina American Legion will host Dinner Bell Bingo on April 11 at 2 p.m. Organizers say the event will feature 20 games of bingo, with winners receiving dinner bundles instead of cash prizes. Bingo cards are $10, and proceeds will benefit the Women’s Auxiliary at the American Legion. More information is available by calling 419-733-6127.
