WCSM to Broadcast Live from Marion Local Schools March 16 through 19th

WCSM will be broadcasting live from Marion Local High School beginning Monday morning, March 16, with daily shows scheduled from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Friday, March 20.

The special weeklong series will highlight a wide range of Marion Local staff members, programs, and student activities.

Marion Local Superintendent Mike Pohlman said the broadcasts will give the district a chance to share more of what is happening inside the school.

“The week of March 16th through the 19th, WCSM will be remotely doing the back to school show at Marion Local, which will feature a lot of our staff members. And we’ll have the opportunity to share some of the neat things that are taking place in our district.”

The live broadcasts will begin Monday, March 16 with appearances from Madison Sherrick and the cheer team, High School Principal and Football Coach Tim Goodwin, representatives from the school play, and Band Director Brad Spettel.

Tuesday’s schedule includes Elementary Principal Kelli Thobe, Assistant Principal and Special Education Supervisor Sue Bruns, three Marion Local High School Eagle Scouts, and Renee Hartings from food service.

On Wednesday, listeners will hear from Pohlman, guidance staff, Treasurer Ryan Goldschmidt, teachers and assistant coaches, along with Marion Local’s agriculture program and FFA representatives.

Thursday’s schedule will feature teachers, technology and art staff, Athletic Director Dan Koenig, Scholastic Bowl participants, and staff members involved in student transportation.

WCSM’s live broadcasts from Marion Local High School will air each day from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. through Friday, March 20.
