Grand Lake Health System has nominated Dr. James Luedeke, a primary care physician at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, for the 2026 Healthcare Worker of the Year Award presented by the Ohio Hospital Association.

The health system said Dr. Luedeke has served west central Ohio for more than four decades, caring for generations of families with a patient first approach. His work has included family medicine and chronic wound care, and he has served multiple terms as chief of staff at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital.

Grand Lake Health System also noted Dr. Luedeke’s role in medical education as a clinical assistant professor of family medicine at Wright State University’s Boonshoft School of Medicine. Dr. Luedeke will be recognized in connection with the 111th Ohio Hospital Association Annual Meeting and Education Summit.
