Celina Police: Two crashes in one day involve vehicles striking buildings, no injuries reported

The Celina Police Department investigated two separate traffic crashes Monday in which vehicles struck buildings. No injuries were reported in either incident.

Police say the first crash happened February 16, 2026 around 7:00 a.m. on Touvelle Street. A white 2006 Chevrolet van driven by 22 year old Nathan Longwell was traveling eastbound when he failed to negotiate the curve between Mackinaw Street and North Mill Street. The van left the south side of the roadway, ramped over a large rock, and struck a house trailer at the Celina Mobile Home Park at 440 Touvelle Street.

Police said the residence was vacant at the time. While no one was hurt, the trailer sustained heavy damage. Longwell was cited for failure to control.

The second crash happened around 7:00 p.m. as 53 year old Diane Fischetti of Lancaster arrived at the Aldi store at 2001 Havemann Road in Celina. Police say her vehicle jumped the curb while pulling into a parking space next to the building and struck the structure.

No injuries were reported. The building sustained moderate damage.
