St. Henry School Board approves track work, new bus purchase, and notes calamity days are used up


St. Henry Schools Superintendent Adam Puthoff recapped several approvals and updates from the district’s monthly Board of Education meeting, held Wednesday night at 6 p.m. in the high school media center.

Puthoff opened by thanking the maintenance staff for their work cleaning up after the recent rounds of snowfall and also recognized bus drivers for navigating changing weather conditions. He also noted the district has now used all five calamity days. If another school day is missed, the next make up days would be Thursday, April 2, or Monday, April 6.

Treasurer and CFO Jen Bruns reviewed the district’s financial forecast, saying there are still unknown variables that could impact the budget. Bruns said the district will continue monitoring the situation and having ongoing conversations as more information becomes available.

During the meeting, the board approved a number of donations supporting the athletic department, academic team, and various sports programs, with contributions credited to multiple community organizations and businesses.

The board also approved OHSAA membership for the 2026 27 school year and approved a Tri Star referral adding law and public safety programming for 2026 27.

Additional action items included approval of a revised CCIP allocation, the federal spending plan, and modifications to fiscal year 2026 appropriations and estimated resources. mount of 117,010 dollars. The board also approved participation in the Southwest Ohio EPC bus purchasing program and accepted a quote to purchase an 84 passenger bus from Cardinal Bus Sales.

The board entered executive session to consider employment of an employee, and no action was taken following executive session.
