Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office recovers stolen enclosed trailer after multi agency investigation

On Jan 22, 2026 Lininger Trailer Sales called to report an enclosed trailer was stolen from their business. They further reported that sometime during the overnight hours on Jan 22, uiMown suspects drove into Lininger Trailer Sales, cut the locks from the gate, entered onto the property and hooked up to an enclosed trailer and drove away.

In viewing the security video footage from Lininger's, a suspect vehicle was able to be seen hooking up to the stolen trailer and driving away. A photo of the suspect vehicle was put onto Social Media in hopes of getting any tips or leads.

In doing this, info was provided to the Auglaize County Sheriffs Office of the owner of the suspect vehicle and a possible location. This info was shared and the suspect vehicle was later located in Vandalia.

Information was further obtained about the possible whereabouts of the stolen trailer and through the invCstigation, the enclosed trailer was later recovered in Warren County (about halfway between Dayton and Cincinnati)

Assisting in the investigation was the Grand Lake Task Force, Vandalia Police Department, Range Task Force (Regional Agencies Narcotics and Gun Enforcement), Huber Heights Police Department and the Warren County Sheriffs Office.
