Coldwater council advances land acquisition notes, adds Celina to mutual aid agreement

Coldwater Village Council held the third and final reading of Ordinance 1771 during its latest meeting, authorizing the issuance of land acquisition notes, according to Village Manager Jason Eyink.

Council also approved Ordinance 1773 on a first and final reading, updating the village’s police mutual aid agreement. Eyink said the agreement has been in place for about 11 years with other area villages, and Celina is now being added.

In addition, council passed Resolution 849 on a first and final reading opposing another rate increase by AES Electric tied to delivery fees.

Council also approved bids for the 2nd Street Water Tower Interior Coating Project. Eyink said the low bid came from Midwest Tank Management in the amount of $197,782.
