St. Marys City Council will meet Monday, February 9, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at the City Building.
On the agenda under petitions and communications is a resolution of appreciation for John Menker, along with a Convention of States presentation by Brenda Mitchell.
Council will also hear reports from city officials, including the mayor, the tax commissioner, and the director of public service and safety. A Solid Waste committee report is also listed.
No third or second readings are scheduled. Under new legislation, council will consider two emergency ordinances.
Ordinance 2026-01 would authorize the director of public service and safety to contract with Pohlkat LLC for lime sludge removal without taking official bids.
Ordinance 2026-02 would authorize a contract for restoration of the municipal swimming pool leisure slide and play station structures, also without taking bids.
Council is also expected to review committee meeting requests for Tuesday, February 17, including a Streets and Sidewalks Committee meeting at 5:15 p.m. and a Solid Waste Committee meeting at 5:45 p.m.
