Van Wert County auditor race headed to GOP primary in May

Voters will have a contested Republican primary for Van Wert County Auditor this spring. Records from the Van Wert County Board of Elections show incumbent auditor Jami Bradford has filed petitions to appear on the May 5 primary ballot. She will be challenged by Arica Wermer, a deputy auditor with the City of Van Wert. The auditor contest is one of the few contested races currently on the May primary ballot. Another Republican primary already set is the race for Van Wert County Juvenile and Probate Court judge, where Van Wert County Prosecutor Eva Yarger and Van Wert City Law Director John Hatcher have filed petitions. The deadline for candidates to file petitions is Wednesday, February 4.
