Celina City Council to Meet January 12

Celina City Council will hold its regular meeting Monday, January 12, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at City Hall, 225 North Main Street.

The meeting will open with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance, followed by roll call and acceptance of the agenda. Council members will also review and consider approval of the minutes from the December 15, 2025, regular council meeting.

Several items of new business are on the agenda. Council will consider an ordinance authorizing the Safety-Service Director to enter into a contractual agreement with Harold Minch for caretaker duties at North Grove Cemetery. That ordinance includes the appropriation of additional funds and declares an emergency.

Another ordinance would authorize the Safety-Service Director to enter into an annual software service agreement with Vector Solutions for scheduling services for the Celina Fire Department, also declaring an emergency.

Council will also review a resolution authorizing the sale of municipally owned personal property through internet auction during calendar year 2026. The property includes items not needed for public use or considered obsolete, in accordance with Ohio Revised Code.

In addition, council will consider a resolution authorizing the mayor to serve as the City of Celina’s delegate on the Board of Directors of the Ohio Municipal Electric Association.

The agenda also includes committee reports, communications, audience participation, administrative reports, and time for comments for the good of the order before adjournment.

The meeting is open to the public.
