Fort Recovery Council Advances Infrastructure Projects, Approves 2026 Appropriations
FORT RECOVERY, Ohio — Fort Recovery Village Council took action on several financial and infrastructure items during its latest meeting, according to Village Administrator Aaron Rengers.
Rengers said council approved the transfer of money from the village’s general fund to the Ohio Department of Transportation construction fund to support a systemic safety trails grant project.
Council members also passed appropriations for the 2026 fiscal year, setting the village’s spending authority for the upcoming year.
In addition, council approved a resolution authorizing the village administrator to enter into an agreement with Kleinfelder Engineering Services related to the village’s wastewater treatment plant.
Rengers said council also reviewed a water plant study. Engineers involved in the design of the village’s planned reverse osmosis water treatment plant attended the meeting to discuss the project and answer questions.
Rengers added that the Ruenkamp annexation was officially filed on January 2nd.
