Fire Damages Duplex on Margo Lane in Celina; Four Taken to Hospital
CELINA — Fire crews responded early Tuesday morning to a structure fire at a duplex located at 137 and 139 Margo Lane.
According to a press release, the call came in at approximately 6:11 a.m. When firefighters arrived, all occupants had safely exited the building. Four people who were inside the apartment where the fire started were transported to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment.
Fire officials say the damage was primarily contained to one room at 137 Margo Lane, though smoke damage was reported throughout both sides of the duplex.
The Ohio State Fire Marshal’s Office has been contacted and will investigate the cause of the fire.
A total of 2 fire apparatus, 1 ambulance, and 8 firefighters responded to the scene. The Celina Police Department also assisted during the incident.
