Mercer County Fairgrounds to Sign Contract with Airstream for 2028 Annual Camping Rally

The first Airstream event to be held at the Mercer County Fairgrounds.

Celina, Ohio — The Mercer County Fairgrounds staff will travel to Airstream’s headquarters in Jackson Center on Thursday, December 18, to formally sign a rental contract securing the Annual Airstream Rally at the Mercer County Fairgrounds from June 24–29, 2028.

This agreement marks a significant milestone for the fairgrounds, which has been actively investing in infrastructure improvements to accommodate up to 1,000 Airstream campers on site. As part of the rally, Airstream will rent all fairgrounds buildings to host club meetings, band practices, trade shows, and additional rally-related activities throughout the week.

A key driving factor in Mercer County’s ability to host the rally is the completion of the Grand Event Center, which will be constructed and operational in time for the 2028 event. The facility will serve as a central hub for large gatherings and programming during the rally.

The Annual Airstream Rally is expected to draw more than 2,500 visitors to Mercer County, creating a substantial economic impact for the region. Attendees are anticipated to support local businesses by dining at area restaurants, visiting local attractions, purchasing fuel, and exploring the community during their stay.
