Late Night House Fire on Cron Street Causes Heavy Damage, Kills Two Dogs
A late night house fire caused significant damage to a Celina home and nearby property Monday night.
According to the Celina Fire Department, crews were dispatched at 11:17 p.m. on December 15, 2025, to a reported structure fire at a single story home at 623 Cron Street.
When firefighters arrived, they found a working fire with heavy smoke and flames venting from the front of the residence. A vehicle parked in the driveway was also on fire.
Fire crews launched an aggressive interior attack and were able to bring the fire under control. The home and vehicle sustained heavy damage, and damage was also reported to a neighboring home and vehicle.
Two dogs inside the home unfortunately died as a result of the fire. No injuries to firefighters or residents were reported.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Fire officials say no foul play is suspected at this time. The Ohio State Fire Marshal has been contacted to assist with the investigation.
Approximately 15 firefighters from the Celina Fire Department responded to the scene. They were assisted by the Celina Police Department and the Celina Electric Department.
The Celina Fire Department continues to investigate the incident.
