Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber Highlights Upcoming Community Events and Fundraisers
The Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber of Commerce is encouraging residents to get involved in several upcoming community events across the Golden Triangle, according to Chamber Director Sara Topp.
One of the largest events on the calendar is the New Bremen–New Knoxville Rotary Auction, set for March 21 at 6 p.m. at the New Bremen American Legion. Topp says the auction is a major fundraiser that allows the Rotary Club to give back to the community through a variety of local projects. Those interested in attending or learning more about membership are encouraged to contact a Rotary member. The New Bremen–New Knoxville Rotary Club meets every Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. at Speedway Lanes in New Bremen.
Community members are also being asked to consider donating blood. Joint Township District Memorial Hospital will host a blood drive on January 6 from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in conference rooms 1, 2, and 3 at the hospital. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 419-394-6132, extension 1128, or by visiting redcrossblood.org and using sponsor code JTDMH.
Topp also notes that enrollment is filling quickly for the countywide leadership class for the 2026–2027 session. Individuals or employers interested in participating are encouraged to get on the waiting list by contacting the St. Marys Chamber, Wapakoneta Chamber, or the Southwestern Auglaize County Chamber.
For outdoor enthusiasts, Heritage Trails Park District is inviting the public to take part in the 2026 Cabin Fever Hike Series. The winter hike along the Miami Erie Canal Towpath Trail will take place Sunday, January 11. Registration will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lockkeeper’s House in New Bremen.
Residents looking for a seasonal outing can also visit Day Air Ballpark, which is hosting a holiday light display featuring more than 1.1 million lights and a variety of family-friendly activities. Tickets and additional information are available at dragonsdeckthediamond.com.
Additional community events, including another upcoming blood drive hosted by The Way International on January 24 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m., are also on the chamber’s calendar.
