Parkway Board Honors Scholastic Bowl Team Headed to Nationals

The Parkway Board of Education opened its December meeting by recognizing the district’s Scholastic Bowl team, which is headed to the national tournament in Chicago later this year. Superintendent Laura Young said the team shared highlights of its undefeated 9-0 run in the MAC and even gave board members an audio sample of the types of questions they face in competition.

Young said it was a great opportunity to celebrate the group’s strong season, noting they still have several meets remaining.

Principals also updated the board on ongoing programs, including the Jim Tressel Fitness Challenge in the middle school and elementary buildings, as well as activities that took place before Thanksgiving break.
