The Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office has filed a criminal complaint in the Mercer County Court of Common Pleas charging Joshua R. Mullins, of Celina, with three counts of rape, all first degree felonies.
According to the complaint, Mullins is accused of engaging in sexual conduct with three separate juvenile victims over a period spanning 2012 through 2014. Each charge alleges that the victims were under the age of 13 at the time of the alleged offenses.
The charges fall under Ohio Revised Code 2907.02(A)(1)(b), which covers rape involving a child under 13, a felony of the first degree. The complaint states that the incidents occurred in Mercer County.
The filing was submitted by the Mercer County Prosecutor’s Office and sworn to by an officer of the Coldwater Police Department.
Mullins will appear in court at a later date to face the charges. A criminal complaint is a formal allegation, and the defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
More information will be released as the case proceeds through the judicial process.
