Lima Man Indicted on Cocaine Possession Charge in Auglaize County

A Lima man is facing a felony drug charge in Auglaize County.

According to court records, 27-year-old Dylan Robert Bentz, of Lima, was indicted October 16 on one count of possession of cocaine, a fifth-degree felony. The charge stems from an alleged offense that occurred June 19 in Auglaize County.

The Auglaize County Sheriff’s Office executed a warrant for Bentz’s arrest on October 20, and he was taken into custody before being brought to Common Pleas Court for arraignment. Court documents show Bentz entered a not guilty plea and was released on his own recognizance bond.

As part of his bond conditions, Bentz is prohibited from possessing or consuming alcohol, drugs, or related paraphernalia, and must submit to random testing if requested by law enforcement. He also cannot leave the state without court permission.

A pretrial hearing is scheduled for November 19 at 9 a.m. before Judge Frederick Pepple.
