Changes to Recycling Pick-up
ST. MARYS – Starting Nov. 10, the City of St. Marys will be changing the way it collects recycling. The city recently received its new, co-mingle recycling truck. As a result, changes will be needed to accommodate the new vehicle. Refuse customers will be able to set out plastic, aluminum and tin for collection as well as cardboard. However, the city will no longer be able to perform curbside pick-up of glass. This is because the new co-mingle trucks cannot sort it. The city will have hoppers available for cardboard and glass drop-off behind the General Services buildings on North Chestnut Street. all cardboard needs to be broken down.
