St. Marys Man Faces Additional Sex-Related Charges in Ongoing Case

A St. Marys man initially arrested last week on two charges is now facing a total of 13 sex-related charges following a grand jury indictment in Auglaize County.

According to court records, 51-year-old Hector Hernandez was indicted on multiple counts of sexual battery and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor.

The indictment includes:

• Seven counts of Sexual Battery (Felony 2)

• Four counts of Sexual Battery (Felony 4)

• Two counts of Unlawful Sexual Conduct with a Minor (Felony 3)

The alleged offenses occurred between October 1 and October 16, 2025, in Auglaize County.

The case was bound over from municipal court following his earlier arrest. 

As of now, Hernandez remains charged in connection with multiple incidents involving alleged sexual offenses, and the investigation is ongoing. Hernandez is being held in the Auglaize County Jail.
