Friendly Markets in Celina to Close November 7

Friendly Markets in Celina to Close November 7

Friendly Markets in Celina has announced plans to close permanently on November 7th after years of serving the community.

Store officials say they’re marking down remaining inventory as they prepare to shut down, with groceries, frozen foods, and beverages discounted by half. Deli items and steaks are not included in the markdown. Outdated grocery items are also being given away with purchases as the store clears its shelves.

The market will be closed Tuesday, October 21st, after selling out of all meat products. Staff say they’ll use the day to clean and reorganize before reopening Wednesday.

In the coming weeks, Friendly Markets may also close early or for full days due to catering obligations and family events. Updates will be shared online.

Anyone with catering orders scheduled for next year will be contacted by the store to confirm cancellations.

Store management expressed appreciation to customers for their support as they prepare to close the long-running Celina business.
