On Friday October 3rd, 2025, Cridersville Police Department arrested a man for multiple counts of burglary involving a residence inside the village of Cridersville.
On 09/19/25 at approximately 11:30 pm Cridersville Police Department was informed from a village resident, that a man was caught on camera inside their home while they were gone. This man had his face covered and was wearing gloves while inside the residence. Further investigation showed the man only removed personal items involving clothing. After a brief discussion with neighbors and with photographs recovered from our Flock system, we had a suspect identified. Due to the nature of items taken, the victims knew this was not the first time this man had been inside their home. We continued our investigation and advised them to use trail cameras and where to set them up.
On 10/03/25 at approximately 12:15 pm, we received a call from the victim letting us know the man was caught on camera pulling into their drive, entered their garage through a locked man door and continued to go inside their house. Once inside the man did not cover his face or wear gloves this time. He went right upstairs just like the previous time wearing cargo shorts. Once the man came back down the stairs his cargo pockets was full of their personal items. Cameras show the man leaving through the kitchen into the garage and straight to his vehicle. At this time, the victims were able to 100% identify the man. This man was familiar with the family, and we learned he had sent several texts to the victims over the last several years acquiring if they were home or not.
