New hires for the Celina Police Department

The Celina Police Department is pleased to announce that today, April 23, 2025, Mayor Jeff Hazel swore in two new patrolmen and a newly appointed sergeant. Kyle M. Balthis, a Celina police officer with 6-1/2 years in service was promoted from the rank of patrolman to the rank of sergeant.
Two Celina Police Officer Trainees who recently graduated the police academy at Wright State University Lake Campus were sworn in as full-time patrolmen for the City of Celina. We congratulate both Connor Burr and Isaac Daniel and welcome them to the Celina P.D.
Celina P.D. anticipates the continuation of the Police Trainee program through this year. This program allows us to hire select applicants and send them to the academy as paid employees. We are encouraging anyone interested in more information about this program to contact Chief Tom Wale at 419-586-2345 or email t.wale@celinaohiopd.gov
