OH SCHOOL SAFETY


PANIC BUTTONS COULD BE COMING TO OHIO SCHOOLS AS A NEW SCHOOL SAFETY BILL IS INTRODUCED. 
THERE WILL BE A NEW BILL IN THE OHIO STATE HOUSE AIMED AT IMPROVING SCHOOL SAFETY IN OHIO. STATE SENATOR MICHELLE REYNOLDS HELD A NEWS CONFERENCE TODAY AT CANAL WINCHESTER HIGH SCHOOL TO ANNOUNCE THE BILL. IT MANDATES WEARABLE PANIC BUTTONS IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS ACROSS THE STATE. IT'S CALLED ALYSSA'S LAW IN HONOR OF ALYSSA ALHADEFF, WHO WAS ONE OF 17 STUDENTS KILLED IN THE PARKLAND, FLORIDA SCHOOL SHOOTING BACK IN 2018. ALYSSA'S MOTHER, LORI, WAS HERE FOR THE ANNOUNCEMENT.
