Rick “Rocket” Kremer has been a WCSM sports announcer since 2003, covering MAC athletics across football, volleyball, girls basketball, and boys basketball. While he has also broadcast baseball and softball, Rick primarily focuses on fall and winter sports, with football and volleyball standing out as his favorites to call.

Over the past 22 years, Rick has broadcast 46 OHSAA State Championship games, including 24 in football, 14 in volleyball, six in girls basketball, and two in boys basketball. Some of the most memorable moments include New Bremen’s first ever state championship in volleyball in 2017, their first football state title in 2020, the 2011 St. Henry volleyball championship featuring Ron Brunswick’s daughter Abby, and the unforgettable 2007 football title game when Coldwater defeated Cardinal Mooney 28 to 27 on a blocked extra point with 21 seconds remaining.

Away from the microphone, Rick has worked at Crown Equipment for 34 years. He lives just outside Fort Recovery in St. Joe.

Rick and his wife Julia have been married for 30 years and share their home with their four-legged companion, Lena Rose.
