HOMELESS FUNDING


OHIO IS ABOUT TO GET MILLIONS OF DOLLARS TO HELP END HOMELESSNESS IN OUR STATE. GOVERNOR DEWINE MADE THE ANNOUNCEMENT TODAY (TUESDAY) DURING A VISIT TO HUCKLEBERRY HOUSE WITH U.S. SECRETARY OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT BEN CARSON. CALIFORNIA, NEW YORK, ILLINOIS, OHIO, AND PENNSYLVANIA ARE ALL RECEIVING OVER $2 BILLION TO SUPPORT LOCAL HOMELESS PROGRAMS. OHIO'S CUT OF THAT FUNDING IS ABOUT $106 MILLION. IN FRANKLIN COUNTY, $14 MILLION WILL GO TOWARDS OVER 30 PROJECTS GEARED TOWARD HELPING THE HOMELESS.
