Coldwater Community Picnic begins Thursday with four days of activities
The Coldwater Community Picnic returns Thursday, July 30, for four days of food, rides, entertainment and community activities at Coldwater Memorial Park.
Thursday’s schedule includes the opening of the main food tent and beer stands at 5 p.m., rides and new carnival games from 6 to 9 p.m., youth entertainment, free snow cones and an outdoor showing of “GOAT” at dusk. Musical performances will include Kyle Koester, Roger Demange and Jason Grieshop.
Friday’s activities include the Little Miss and Mr. Cavalier Pageant at 5 p.m., a cruise-in beginning at 6 p.m. and music from Toby Leach on the main stage. The evening will conclude with fireworks at 10 p.m.
Saturday begins with the Buzzards Glory 5K at 8:30 a.m. at Cavalier Stadium. The day will also feature a kiddie tractor pull, a two-on-two youth basketball tournament, a diaper derby, petting zoo, talent show, magic shows, picnic relay and a punt, pass and kick contest. Graveyard Daisies will perform at 5 p.m., followed by Kevin and the Others at 9 p.m.
Sunday’s parade begins at 1 p.m. under the theme “Hometown USA: Where Tradition Lives.” Linus and Carol Hartings will serve as parade marshals. Sunday’s schedule also includes chicken dinners, a veterans program, bingo, a cornhole tournament and music from Kaitlyn Schmit and Friends and Zach Attack.
Rides, carnival games, food stands and additional family activities will continue throughout the weekend.
